Brian Flores' unit held Saints quarterback Tyler Shough to 96 passing yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions. Minnesota roughly doubled New Orleans in time of possession and won the yardage battle 364-142. The streak dates back to last year, and the Vikings are now 5-0.

Kyler Murray had his best game with Minnesota yet. He completed 24 of 30 passes for 229 yards and a touchdown to Justin Jefferson, and he ran seven times for 54 yards, not counting three kneeldowns. The Vikings trailed 7-6 early in the third quarter before Murray scrambled 18 yards on third-and-10, then found Jefferson for a score on third-and-6.

A CBS Sports column calls the Vikings legitimate Super Bowl contenders and labels that reality, not overreaction. The numbers back it up. Minnesota leads the league in defensive success rate at 66.5%, which would be the best mark of the past decade. It also leads in defensive EPA per play at 0.22, the second-best number in that span, and in sack rate at 9.8%, the fifth-best. Last year's sack rate ranked fourth-best of the decade, so this is no fluke.

The columnist thinks Minnesota might be the least-talked-about 5-0 team in NFL history.
