The event runs from 10 a.m. To 6 p.m. And offers accessible science for families with kids of all ages. Hands-on stations include an exploding bubbles demonstration, dry ice bubbles, Bubbles in Space and Kid-in-a-Bubble. Kids can also make and take bubble wands and try bubble crafts.
The headliner is Blaise Ryndes, a bubble performer and magician whose show, Spheres, blends bubble art, magic and science. His last name is pronounced Rhine-dees. He started in the Tampa Bay area with birthday parties and school assemblies, then twisted balloons in local restaurants. His first big break came in 2013, when St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa hired him to entertain at the grand opening of its pediatric emergency room.
Since then, Ryndes has performed for Disney, the Florida Aquarium, the Tampa Bay Rays, the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Boston Children's Museum. For parents here, that means eight hours of hands-on science at the Science Spectrum, plus a show from someone who has worked those rooms.
Hundreds of shows for thousands of people, and it started with a black tie crowd in Tampa.
