Smith caught four passes for 93 yards and two touchdowns Saturday in a win over Maryland. He moved past Texas quarterback Arch Manning, who had been the favorite before a rough game in Saturday's loss to Oklahoma. Manning now sits second at +350.

Notre Dame quarterback CJ Carr is third at +380 after a big day in a 58-7 win over Stanford. He completed 14 of 20 passes for 181 yards, with three touchdowns and no interceptions, and added 41 rushing yards.

Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss follows at +600. Oklahoma State quarterback Drew Mestemaker is at +650, Miami quarterback Darian Mensah at +750 and Oregon quarterback Dante Moore at +1200.

Smith is the only receiver among the top seven names. The other six are all quarterbacks. That matters because the odds board points toward a spot no receiver has held since Keyshawn Johnson went first in 1996.

Three decades is a long time for one position to sit out the top of the draft, and a Buckeye now has the best odds to end it.
