The on-air challenge gave players 14 words and one rule. Change one letter in each to name a well-known college or university. The example turns CROWN into BROWN. The list opens with PURSUE, YULE and SMITE, then closes with ACCIDENTAL.
Last week's challenge came from Robbie Ellis of Chicago. Players had to name two well-known colleges from the same state, where the last letter of one is the first letter of the other. Then they changed each instance of that letter to a new one to get two different schools. The answer: DePaul and Lake Forest in Illinois became DePauw and Wake Forest. Etienne is listed as the winner.
This week's challenge comes from Nancy Taubenslag of Scarsdale, N.Y. Name a company known for transportation, move its first two letters to the end, then reverse everything. Insert the name of an international tourist destination, and you get the name of a game that involves transportation.
Answers are due by Thursday, October 15 at 3 p.m. ET. Listeners with selected answers win a chance to play the on-air puzzle, and every entry needs a phone number.
