FS1 will carry the game nationally. The Red Raiders sit at 6-0 overall and 3-0 in the Big 12 after Saturday's 53-25 win over Arizona State, their second straight season opening with six wins. Cincinnati enters at 4-2, including 1-2 in conference play.
Texas Tech is one of six unbeaten teams in the country. A win would give the Red Raiders only their fifth 7-0 start in school history, in their third road game of the season. They have won their last four road games dating to 2025, including a 35-24 win at Oregon State and a 29-7 win at Colorado this year.
The two schools have met just twice. They tied 10-10 to start the 1968 season, then Tech won 44-41 in 2024. Tahj Brooks, now with the Cincinnati Bengals, ran for 172 yards in that one as the Red Raiders erased a 14-3 deficit and held off a potential game-tying field goal as time expired.
For folks in Lubbock, this one is a television game, and it starts early. Texas Tech comes home to Galaxy Stadium afterward for back-to-back dates with Arizona on Oct. 31 and West Virginia on Nov. 7.
