The coaches poll spot is the highest Texas Tech has reached in either poll this season, up four spots from last week. The Red Raiders sit in the top 10 of both polls for the second straight week. Texas Tech has also held a ranking for more than 25 consecutive weeks since the start of the 2025 season, the longest streak in program history.

The Big 12 has three top-10 teams. BYU ranks as high as No. 2 after beating Notre Dame on Saturday night, and Utah moved to No. 9 in the coaches poll and No. 10 in the AP. After beating Oklahoma State, Houston jumped six spots to No. 14 in the AP and No. 16 in the coaches poll. Arizona landed at No. 25 in the AP for the first time this season, and Oklahoma State is still getting votes in both polls.

Next up is Texas Tech's first-ever trip to Nippert Stadium in Cincinnati. Kickoff is Saturday at 11 a.m. CT, so folks in Lubbock can catch it early on FOX Sports 1 or through the Texas Tech Sports Network.

Only six teams in college football haven't lost yet, and half of them play in the Big 12.
