The Lady Buffs, now 7-5-3 overall and 6-3-2 in LSC play, have won six straight. Riley Sims had a shot at an early lead three minutes in on a penalty kick, but she hit the crossbar. Thirteen minutes later she made up for it, finishing a Sienna Hurrell cross with her right foot past the keeper for a 1-0 lead.
WT held Eastern New Mexico to two first-half shots, none on goal, and the score stayed 1-0 at halftime. Then the second half sped up. Braely Martinez scored in the 54th minute after Sims' run rushed the Eastern New Mexico keeper into an errant pass. Martinez intercepted it and fired into an open net from just outside the box. Two minutes later, Mollie Ferro buried a Martinez pass in front of the keeper. Sarah Hernandez Lopez added the fourth in the 75th minute, getting past the defense in the box and sending her shot to the bottom left corner.
Franciezca Blancaflor and Sydney Nanz combined for the shutout. Sims had a hand in three of the four goals.
