The Lockes bought that first skeleton four years ago and put it out. Drivers waved as they passed, and Justin decided the couple should become "that house." Now the yard holds Ezekiel, who lounges on a hay bale, and Crow, who stands 15 feet tall.

A group of skeletons also stages an Avengers versus Jedi fight. Both Lockes have October birthdays, and since the couple loves making art, the display lets them share their joy for Halloween.

People walking by often ask whether they can take pictures. "We say absolutely, take all the pictures you want," Justin said. He wants drivers heading to work, the store or school to see something that makes them smile.

That costs money. Asked about the price, Justin said, "Too much, too much," and joked that he keeps the zip tie company in business. The yard still needs care, so mowing the lawn properly is its own process.

Justin hopes the weather holds this year, because he plans to put it up every Halloween.
