On the state's investigation list
Is Tom Green County on the state's data center investigation list?
Yes. Tom Green County is named in the Attorney General's Sept. 24, 2026 announcement.
The release says data centers are under initial investigation in counties "including" 18 it names. It does not name facilities.
These are counties, not facilities. The announcement names counties. It does not name facilities or companies.
A county on the list is not a finding. The release describes an investigation into developments that have not responded to the state water survey. It does not say any facility broke the law.
List as announced September 24, 2026. Last checked October 2, 2026.
Each project shows what a company or agency has said about water and power, who said it and when, with links to its sources.
